John Golden, Jr.

John Golden, Jr. was born in Columbus, GA on March 31, 1941 to Melinda and John Golden, Sr. (who preceded him in death) and transcended this life on July 6, 2013 at the age of 72. While on this earth, he was a positive light that touched the lives of all who were blessed to encounter him.
John was a proud member of the U.S. Navy where he achieved the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. Upon retirement, he spent his free time playing cards with friends and meeting other Everett School District retirees for a monthly breakfast.
John leaves to mourn at the family home his wife, Susan; sons, Carl and Angelo, and eight year old Bassett Hound, Queenie. He also leaves his sisters, Betty Jackson, Columbus, GA; Laura Walker, Stone Mountain, GA; nieces, Willetta Jackson, Columbus, GA and Laurie Walker, Stone Mountain, GA; along with a host of other family and friends.
