Leverne (Vern) Robert Sackmann

Vern Sackmann, 87, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Everett. He was born April 26, 1925 in Mercer, North Dakota.
Vern was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine, to whom he was married for 59 years until her death, in 2007.
Vern is survived by his daughter, Debbie Sackmann Quigley; his son, Barry Sackmann; his grandson, Nathan Quigley; and four siblings, Vera Zabel, Verna Skorick, Donald Sackmann, and Douglas Sackmann.
Vern served in the Navy during World War II, and after the war he moved to the Puget Sound area. He was the manager of the B&M grocery store in Marysville for many years. Vern was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Everett Elks Club. During his later years, he split his time between his home in Everett and his sisters' homes in Moses Lake, Washington.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., November 8, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2324 Lombard Avenue, Everett.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
