Paul Oscar Bettger went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2013. He was 96 years old. He was born in Flattop, WY on July 21, 1917 to Henry and Freda Bettger. Paul grew up in Colorado, with three brothers and one sister. He served in the Army during WWII. He moved to Oregon and married his wife of 65 years, Shirley Mead. They had three children and raised their family in Everett, WA. Paul worked for the J.C. Penney Company for 60 years. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Bettger; son, Don Bettger; and son-in-law, Rich Zoeger. He is survived by sister, Mildred Maxfield; daughter, Sieann Zoeger; son, Rick (Cindi Griffin) Bettger; daughter-in-law, Mary Bettger; grandchildren, Marlo (John) Highet, Shayne (Ryan) Grams, Gienna (Gary) Voss and Dane Bettger; great granddaughters, Ashley Grams, Katelyn Grams and Mia Highet. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Paul enjoyed spending time with family and doing various activities with them. Boating, fishing, and camping were his favorite hobbies. He had a positive outlook on life; he had fun at whatever he was doing and was happy to meet new friends. We would like to thank Mt. Baker Care Center for the special care they gave Paul.
