Roy Cain Jr. passed away peacefully June 22, 2014. He was born March 13, 1921, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Georgia Hasley and Roy Cain Sr., the fifth of five children. Roy joined the Navy in 1941 and retired in 1961. After his Navy career, Roy went to work for T.I. designing electronic circuit boards. In 1943, he met and married Esther Gertrude Neilsen. He is survived by four children, Shirley (John) Donaldson of North Delta, B.C., Barbara (Richard) Constantine of Land O'Lakes, Fla., Kim (Lawsen) Miller of El Paso, Texas, and Roy Cain III of Everett; two grandchildren, Ryan (Austen) Popejoy and Ian (Kendra) Miller; and one great-granddaughter. Roy was preceded in death by his wife of almost 70 years, Esther, on March 22, 2013. His four sisters, Bertalee, Wilma, Mildred, and Lillian, also preceded him in death. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. July 11, 2014, at Evergreen Funeral Home. Inurnment services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery.
