Joseph E. Fluet

Joseph Edward Fluet, age 91 of Fall River died Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Adams House Nursing Home. A master electrician, he was employed by Raymond Construction Co and later at Newport Naval Station as a Planner Estimator. An Air Force veteran of WWII, he served as a bombardier on a B-24 Liberator stationed in Italy where he flew on 35 missions. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish, a member of V.F.W., Tiverton, American Legion and the Over The Hill Gang. He held a private pilots license and owned a Cessna 172 airplane and enjoyed many hours of flying. Survivors include 5 nieces, Lauretta Machado, Frances Miranda, Elaine Kucikas, Barbara Cyr and Sarah Allard; 7 nephews, Kevin Machado, Dana, Brian, Scott, Chris, Barry, Kenneth Fluet and a sister-in-law, Shirley Fluet. He was the brother of the late Lauretta Machado, Norman Fluet and Rita Fontes, the son of the late Edward J. and Rosilda (Belanger) Fluet and the companion of the late Majorie Allen who he loved dearly. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd. at 10:30 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours, Tuesday morning prior to funeral from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. Large parking area and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
