Alfred M. Budner, 80, of Venice, FL, died on Feb. 5, 2013. Funeral arrangements by: Ewing Funeral Home.
Alfred Martin Budner, 80, of Venice, FL formerly of Michigan, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013.
Al was born November 10, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Martin and Martha (Werner) Budner. He was a teacher with a Bachelors and Masters degree from Michigan State University in Education and taught for Venice Jr. High and both Venice and Sarasota High Schools for 36 years until his retirement. He also worked as a media specialist. Al coached high school football and umpired both little league and high school baseball. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Shirley; son Larry and wife Angkana along with their daughter Jessica, all of Thailand; daughter Terri Khalil, husband Mohsin, and their daughter Sonya, all of Clearwater, FL; daughter Becky Schimsky and husband Steve, of Clearwater, FL; and sister Alice Bolzan and husband Lou of Orland Park, IL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Budner. A private burial will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date.
