Dr.Martin Rammer Obituary

Rammer, Jr., Dr.
Martin A.
May 20, 1934 - Aug. 20, 2013
Dr. Martin Rammer, Jr, 79, a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine in Sheboygan WI, passed on August 20 in Sarasota. His academic achievements and athletic awards were well-respected by University of Wisconsin-Madison alumnae. Marty was recognized for his community service, impressive credentials, as a confidant to many, a patron of the arts and a credit to his professional oath "Do No Harm". His kindness and his impeccable manners were legend. As a young army officer, he had the remarkable opportunity of living in Worms, Germany, attending the Aerospace School of Medicine in Texas and being an Instructor at Army Flight Surgeon's School at Ft. Rucker.
His son, Trent, provided an eloquent tribute of his awesome journey in the Sheboygan Press.
He chose Sarasota in the autumn of his life and he continued to enrich our community. He was a member of the Meadows CC. He and Anne Mack enjoyed the sharing of the arts, traveling to amazing destinations (Germany, Austria, Vienna, Venice, Norway), and also shared his love of adventure. He lived his knowledge in each village. He was loved by his Sarasota family and their children, Molly and Dave Jackson, Maureen and Joe St. Onge, Jennifer Erickson, Dan and Audrey Gaffney, Kylie, Marshall and Regan Sterling, Vic and Nancy Reiling.
As graciously as he entered this world, so did he leave. For today, and always, you are loved. Your stories are legend to many. Our family gatherings have a new humor and graciousness. Thank you.
Family will gather on Saturday evening, Aug. 31st at 6:00 PM on the 10th hole of the Highlands Golf Course overlooking his home, to celebrate his life.

Marty was quite a guy, I was lucky to know him and I will miss him

I bid you good-bye and love you still.
Dancing in the joy of what we had.
Crying in its loss, praying for your soul.
Not knowing if you need it.
But believing it is a link.
