Thank you all for the kind words, thoughts and prayers for our family and for the love you had for our father. We miss him so very much, but know that he and our mother are with our Heavenly Father and the Angels in Heaven. Someday we will all be together again. Love to you all from Gail, Steve, David, Raleigh and Paul Dumas

Even a year later, it still takes our breath away to think that George is gone from us. Having worked with George and Joan in Greece for many years, we felt great sorrow for his family and all of us us in this loss. His love, enthusiasm, his joy in the Lord, his compasssion for the lost--all these are great missed. We still think about him and now Joan, being with our Lord and Savior, in perfect joy. What a blessing they both were in our lives.

I have fond memories of George during our days at Freed-Hardeman. We were together on the baseball team and his presence brought joy to all.
I was a was an over night guest of George in Athen in 1965. After breakfast he said it was time to pray. He said he didn't want to be selfish so he wanted me to lead the prayer.
Luke descried Barnabas as a good man and this appears to be one of the greatest compliments in the Bible. George was a good man. My prayers are with his family.

And for those of us we left behind to feel sad for the temporary separation, George is sorrounded by millions upon millions of saints and angels singing glory glory hallelujah to the king and looking to our crietor face to face and hear God almighty saying, well done my faithful servand, receive the crown of life. At this point, George is looking down to us, I done my best wile I was with you. Know is up to you to make it in heaven. Father we thank you for the gift of life to George.

Rev. George Dumas was such a joy to know, even though we didn't have a long acquaintance with him, he and his wife were a couple we quickly learned to love! George was such a gentle and caring Man of God,quick to give a encouraging word or hug. He so obviously loved his wife and family. He will be greatly missed, we pray that Joan and family feel Gods arms wrapping them in the Peace and Love that only he can give.

George will be greatly missed by all at 43rd St church of Christ. He was a humble man who reflected the love of God to all his brothers and sisters. Our prayers will now be with Joanie and the rest of the family.

I was fortunate to be able to visit with George and Joanie recently. He was such a spiritual man, he offered me a book on servanthood and prayed before I left. I know his family will miss him terribly but they were so blessed to have him in their lives. Roger and I will be praying for them.

I will always remember George as a man who loved the Lord. Has been years since I have seen George, but I still remember his smiling face and kind words. The Lord has called you home. May the peace of our Lord be with his family.
