Georgia Elizabeth Anthony, 67, of Bradenton, died on Oct. 5, 2013 at Tampa General Hospital. Born March 7, 1946, in Sandusky, OH, to Ellsworth Rey and Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Wikel. She attended Ohio State University from 1964-1966. She moved to Bradenton, FL, in 1974 with her husband, Gerry Anthony and 3 sons; son 4 was born in Bradenton. Georgia worked within the local real estate market for over 35 years. She was very actively involved in volunteer work at Free Spirits, Daughters of American Revolution (DAR), and Habitat for Humanity while being a rock and spiritual guide for her granddaughters. She is survived by sisters, Barb Weagly and Fran Ripley, sons, Jeff (Marie Anthony), Chris, Brian, and David; plus granddaughters, Jamie, Lena, and Sara. Georgia made her presence known through many church organizations throughout Bradenton, but was a recent member of Westside Christian Church. Georgia had many interests and talents from coaching and cheering on her sons during sports, traveling, especially with her granddaughters, arts and crafts. She had an eye for interior decoration; she enjoyed shopping and being a life-long friend to everyone around her. Georgia was also married to Jeff Gallagher for almost 10 years and very much enjoyed their time together. Visitation will be held at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207 on Friday, October 11, 2013, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Services will be held at Westside Christian Church, 3604 15th Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205 on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10am, and Burial to follow at Skyway Memorial Gardens, 5200 U.S. 19 North, Palmetto, FL 34221.
