Jim, of Englewood, passed away after a long and busy life. He was born in Tuscola, IL. Jim entered the US Navy in June 1944 and was honorably discharged April 1946 after ending 14 months in New Caledonia. Jim attended Eastern Illinois College and graduated from University of Illinois June of 1951.
He worked in Chicago for several years but spent the majority of his working years as a certified Industrial Hygienist for the army at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, Maryland.
Jim was a life member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed hunting in the west after he retired.
Jim is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 59 years, daughter, Judy and her husband Bob Eagan; his son, Jim and his wife Kathy. He is also survived by two granddaughters Elizabeth and Mary Katherine; grandson Brian Eagan and his wife Kate. Memorial service will be held in Tuscola.
