Jim Talmage, 76, of Parrish, Florida passed away on October 16, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Talmage; three children, Laurie Talmage McGriff (Joel), Bill Talmage (Deb), and Ross Talmage (Noelle); four grandchildren, Bronson, Colton, Kierson, and Anabel; brother Jerry Talmage (Martha), sister Ann Kachelmeier; and numerous nieces and nephews. After graduating in 1959 from the University of Minnesota with a mechanical engineering degree, he founded Mikros Engineering in 1963, a plastics injection molding company in Minneapolis, that is still in operation today. He was a past councilman in his Minnesota community of Maple Grove and a former President of Golden Valley Country Club in Minnesota. Upon moving to Parrish, Florida to retire he became a Board Member of River Wilderness Golf and Country Club. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing cards. He loved his family and they gathered often for vacations at resorts and on cruises. He and Mary made frequent trips to see their children and grandchildren as they celebrated life achievements and sporting events of their own. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. His many friends will cherish the memory of his kind words, positive attitude, and quick wit. A celebration of his life will be held at River Wilderness Golf and Country Club in Parrish, FL on Saturday, October 19 from 2-4pm.
