Lester Revillo Carrier, Jr. passed away on June 26, 2014, after 102 wonderful years. He was born September 17, 1911 in Elmira, New York. Lester graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Ohio in 1929, and presided as president of his senior class. He then attended University of Pennsylvania where he was a cheerleader, a member of Psi Upsilion fraternity and was a member of Mask and Wig, a humorous theater group. He graduated from Penn's Wharton School in 1934. During World War II, he served as Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Supply Corps for three and a half years.



After the war, Lester returned to the Cleveland area where he was vice president at Greeley General Warehouse Company and ultimately retired from Lease Way Transportation. He was a 30 year member of the Cleveland Rotary Club. After retiring, he was director of Cuyahoga County Fair Board for nine years.



He moved to Venice Florida in 1981 where he was a member of the Capri Isles Golf Club, Venice Yacht Club, and was a volunteer at the Venice Chamber of Commerce for 30 years.



He is survived by his wife Evelyn and his five children and spouses. He was a grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 2pm at First Christian Church, 1100 Center Rd., Venice, FL 34292.
