Lloyd Edward Hanna, 89, of Venice, FL, formerly of Fort Wayne, IN, died on Mar. 16, 2013. Visitation will be held Wed., March 20, 2013 from 11:00 AM until service time at 12:30 PM at Englewood Community Funeral Home in Englewood, FL.
Born in Portsmouth, Ohio he had been a Sarasota county resident for eight years coming from Fort Wayne, IN. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was the owner/operator of Hanna Drywall and Painting in Ft. Wayne prior to his retirement in 1978. He was a member of Venice Bible Church.
Survivors include his devoted wife of eight years, Lettie M. of Venice, FL; one daughter, Linda Freese of Angola, IN; three sons, David of Spencerville, IN, Craig of Angola, IN, Jamie of Ft. Wayne, IN; one step-daughter, Pamela R. Moser of Tellico Plains, TN; two step-sons, William Glover of Venice, FL, Richard Glover of Beloit, WI; several grand children, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Sarasota National VA Cemetery with honors to be rendered by the US Navy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Venice Bible Church, 2395 West Shamrock Drive, Venice, FL 34293 in memory of Lloyd Hanna.

LLOYD,One of a kind, stopped out when casto was building our house, and helped him out,I always got a kick out of him,and I am sure he did out of me.

David, Craig, Jaime, & Linda, may God bless you and comfort you during this time of the loss of your father. My brother Paul Lehman and I remember you all from years ago having fun with our mother at Crooked Lake. Take care and know that he is in better hands with our Lord.

Dave and Craig, your father's name was spoken many times in my childhood home. My parents thought a lot of your dad and of you as well. I'm sure your dad must have been very proud to call you his sons. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.
