Paul G. Millican, of Lakewood Ranch, FL, formerly of Newport Beach, CA and Boca Grande, FL passed away on August 1st. Born and raised in Los Angeles CA, he moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1975 where he was VP of Sales & Marketing for Watkins Motor Lines until his retirement. A Pearl Harbor survivor, aboard the USS California, Paul served in the US Marine Corps from January 1940 to January 1946. Paul was an active Shriner for many years at the Al Malaikah Shrine Temple in Los Angeles.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Audrey, having met on the Fourth of July on Catalina Island in 1948. He has two sons, Michael G. (Peggie) of Lakeland, and Patrick G. (Barbara) of Oldsmar. He leaves four grandchildren, Travis, Jacksonville, FL, Coral and Petra, Oldsmar, FL, LCpl Payton, Camp Lejeune, NC, and nephews and nieces in California and Nevada.
A burial with military honors will be held graveside on August 11th at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's name can be made in honor of the wonderful care he received from Tidewell Hospice, Sarasota FL or any Hospice location of your choice.
