Ada Lois Jimmerson was a native Houstonian, born on May 10, 1935 to Ethel Marie Davidson and Edward Edison Davidson and passed away on April 2, 2013. Ada grew up in West University, graduated from Lamar High School and the University of Texas with a BBA. Ada had one sister, Doris Munson.
Ada married the love of her life, Alvin Jimmerson, Jr., on August 31, 1961. Ada was a devoted wife and dedicated mother of her two children, James Edward Jimmerson and Amy Kaye Gehm. Ada is survived by her spouse, Alvin Jimmerson, Jr., son James Jimmerson, Wendy Jimmerson, grandchildren Abby, Blake, Hayley, and Will Jimmerson; daughter Amy Gehm, grandchildren Carter and Ryan Gehm; and her sister Doris Munson and the Munson family.
Ada's interment will occur at Memorial Oaks Cemetery located at 13001 Katy Freeway on April 8, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. A memorial celebration of Ada's life will be held at St. Luke's United Methodist Church chapel on April 8, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., with a reception following immediately thereafter at the Hines Baker Room at St. Luke's.
The family thanks Dr. Romaguera at MD Anderson for her care since 2001when she was first diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Remembrances may be made in her honor to MD Anderson or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
