Alan Goldman died peacefully on Dec. 22, 2013 surrounded by his family. A graduate of Ohio State University, he served in the Army during WWII, receiving the Bronze Star and other medals. Al moved to Houston in 1952 and was active in the local Jewish community and the business community. For 32 years, he owned Al Goldman's Office Store. Al is survived by Marcene, his devoted wife of nearly 65 years; his four children, Gayle, Cathy (Chacko), David, and Ginger; sons-in-law, Irv Hunter and Soman Chacko; and grandchildren, Ben and Skylar. Graveside Services will be held Dec. 24, 2013, at Emanu El Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet St, Houston, TX 77074 at 1:30 pm. Rabbi Roy A. Walter will officiate.
