Beatrice Schwartz Levin, age 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2014.
She attended Rhode Island College. Joined the Army to serve as a WAC during WWII. Then she attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She was a published author of more than a dozen books, many short stories, several hundred books and thousands of magazine articles. She taught at high school and college levels in Tulsa and Houston as well as numerous adult education courses.
She is survived by Franklyn, her husband of 67 years, sons Michael, Philip, and Alan his wife Melisa, grandchildren Katie Rose, Alexis, Stephen, and Lauren, siblings and in-laws.
A family visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home Reynolda Chapel, 2599 Reynolda Road.
