Charles Ward Hopkins was born September 13, 1941, in Rochester, New York, and passed away in Conroe, Texas on February 8, 2014. "Chuck" is survived by wife of 50 years, Emily Bauman Hopkins and children: Melinda (Mindy) Swain and husband, Craig, Conroe, Elizabeth Mock, fiance Gary, Conroe and Mark Ward Hopkins and wife, Wendy, of Souix City, Iowa. He also leaves grandchildren, Chelsea Swain, Nathan Mock and Julia Mock, and great granddaughters, Willow and Violet. Chuck, known as Ward growing up, was a graduate of Livonia Central High School, 1959, and joined the U. S. Air Force shortly after. He was a graduate of Arizona State University in Sales Management, Chuck spent 30 years in the HVAC business as Branch Manager and in other capacities for Honeywell, Carrier and Johnson Controls. He was well thought of by everyone and known for his wonderful sense of humor and calm demeanor. He loved and is so loved by all his family. I was always proud to be his wife and thank God for sharing him with me. Graveside services at a later date.
