David Adams Obituary

David Orlande
Adams, age 84, passed away on the morning of 16 September 2013. He was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, but was raised throughout his life in various cities including Houston. He attended Northwestern Military and Naval Academy (near the south shore of Geneva Lake, Wisconsin), Northwestern University and Harvard Law School. Between Northwestern and Harvard, David served his country in the United States Army overseas in the Korean War. His employment included providing legal counsel for Woolworth and Woolco and Darcy Masius MacManus in Manhattan, N.Y. prior to retiring with his family to Houston in 1981. His hobbies/interests included miniature modeling, bagpipes and classical music.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Nina and Jean Legrand, and his younger brother André. He is survived by Sylvie, his loving wife of 56 years; Charles, his son; Katie, his daughter and her husband Greg; Gloria, Megan and Charles, his grandchildren; and Maika, his great granddaughter. He is also survived by 8 nephews and 7 nieces. His quick wit and loving spirit will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/. All services will be held privately by his surviving family and friends.
