Douglas Haldane Obituary

Douglas Alexander Haldane died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his home in Bend, OR, surrounded by friends and family. He was born in Houston, TX, on May 26, 1943. He is survived by his son, Ryan and his wife Nelson, daughter, Anna and his sister, Andrea, brother, Bruce, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. His parents, Robert and Anne Haldane and brother, Clark Nelson, preceded him in death. He graduated from the University of Texas Law School and received a Masters of Law at Harvard University. He practiced law in Oregon for many years and was a Professor and Assistant Dean at the University of Oregon Law School. Douglas was a loving husband and father with an exceptional legal mind, a loyal friend and, above all, a good man.

I'm sorry to hear of Douglas' passing. We were good friends from junior high through college. I lost touch after he moved from Houston to Oregon. I can see him now behind his drums and remember his great sense of humor. Rest in peace.
