Florence Susan Frost Obituary
Florence Susan Frost, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, moved on to the next level of her journey on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at her home in Houston, Texas.
Susan was born on June 19, 1957 in New Orleans to Robert and Elizabeth Hubbell. She was the 2nd in a loving family of 5 girls. Susan graduated from Stratford High School in 1974 and received a BS in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 1979. There she met the love of her life, William Austin Frost, whom she married in Houston on December 19, 1981.
Susan lived a life that reflected her passion for people, nature and life itself. Living in the U.S., Libya, Australia and Ecuador, and traveling extensively, Susan experienced and embraced many cultures, ways of life, and people into her own life.
Susan never hesitated to give her time and inspired creativity to her many loves and interests: helping with her son's schools and sports, bringing together friends and family, creating beauty in her home and garden, and giving care and compassion to those in need. Her love for her family, friends, dogs, and home was extraordinary, her laughter and smile were contagious, and she will be strongly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Susan is survived by her husband, William; her son, Austin Robert; her father, Robert; her sisters, Francis, Mary Martha, Jeanie and Barbara; her dogs, George, Tony and Timber and countless family members and friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday August 31 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079 in the Ars Chapel at 11:30 AM. A celebration of her Susan's life will be held at the Frost family home following the memorial. An online memorial site is setup atwww.susanfrost.last-memories.com for information on donations in lieu of flowers.
