James N. Migliavacca, Jr., passed away on June 4, 2014. Jim was born in Galveston, TX to Albina Figari and James N. Migliavacca, Sr. on May 8, 1925. He graduated from Ball High School in 1942 and attended Texas A&M University for one year prior to joining the U.S. Army Air Corps in June of 1943. Jim served as a flight engineer on a B-26 Martin Marauder in the Rhineland Central Europe campaigns. The Victory in Europe occurred on his 20th birthday. He returned to Galveston in January 1946 and went on to complete his B.S. in Business at Texas A&M. Jim met and married Rowena Fulton of McAllen who was attending nursing school in Galveston.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Albina Millin, nephew, John A. Millin, III and grandson, Justin Baker.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Rowena, son James W. Migliavacca, wife Linda, daughter, Karen M. Schreiner, husband Mark, grandchildren, Parker Baker, Stacy Page, James R. Migliavacca, Katie Baker, Shane Baker, ten great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces and multiple cousins.
Jim worked in sales in the appliance industry for many years. He loved to tell stories of his service in World War II, as well as stories about Galveston. He was an avid golfer for many years.
Per Jim's request, a private family memorial will be held with interment at Galveston Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.
