Jane Hiller Lamm went to meet her Lord on the 24th of December 2012. Jane was born in Houston, Texas on the 19th of February 1939 to Charles and Marion Hiller. A lifetime resident of Houston, Jane graduated from San Jacinto High School. A Zeta Tau Alpha, she attended Southwestern University and Valparaiso University, and graduated with high honors from the University of Houston with a BA in Education.

Jane married her husband Donald on the 29th of November 1957. She taught English, History, and Government at Spring Branch Senior High School before staying home to raise her children. Jane was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church for 53 years where she taught Sunday School and later became the first woman president of the Church Council. She was a 25 year member and past president of the Women of Rotary Club of Houston. She volunteered for 20 years at Twice Blessed resale shop.
The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful caregivers at Colonial Oaks Memory Care facility and Silverado Hospice, with special thanks to Maria Potter and Marie Colon for such wonderful, loving care for Jane.
Jane is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters, Anna Jones and husband Jonathan and Carolyn O'Sullivan and husband Christopher; son, Russell Lamm and wife Kristin; grandchildren, Andrea Jones, Jared Jones, Cassie O'Sullivan, Kyra Albers, and Rory Lamm; sister, Elizabeth Starrett and husband Stanley; nieces, Margaret Bolt and Janet Newton; and nephews, Thomas Lamm, and Eric, Duff, and Jeremy Starrett.
Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Jane from five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening on Friday, the 4th of January, in the drawing room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 5th of January, at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, 1123 Burney Road in Sugar Land, where Rev. Janelle Hooper, Pastor, is to officiate.
At a later date, the family is to gather for a private interment at Houston National Cemetery in Houston.
