JASON LALONDE went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 20, 2013. Jason was born on July 29, 1971 in Lafayette, LA. He moved to Houston at an early age and later graduated from Scarborough High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp Reserve. Jason returned to Lafayette where he attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was elected Vice President of the Student Government Association and graduated in 2002. He worked as an independent Drilling Fluids Engineer in the oilfield and took great pride in his work.

Jason will be remembered for his love for the Lord, quick wit, big heart, and devotion to family and friends. He was outgoing and friendly and never met a stranger. Jason was active in Chi Alpha during his college years and more recently the International House of Prayer. He enjoyed photography, meeting people from different cultures, eating good food, helping others and staying busy.
Jason recently became engaged to Kim Hughes, the love of his life, and was so happy and looking forward to a wonderful future with her and her daughters.
He is survived by his mother Jeannene O'Quinn; his father Glenn Lalonde and wife Geneva; his sister Jennifer Schoppe and husband Stephen, nephews and niece Zachary, Luke and Elizabeth; his brother John Lalonde and wife Ashlie and nephew Kolt; his stepsister Gizell Simmons and husband Eric and nephew Hunter and wife Jamie and niece Hannah; his grandmother Audrey Gilbert; and his fiancé Kim Hughes and daughters Alyssa and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Gary O'Quinn.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26 at 2:00 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 5000 W. Tidwell, Houston, TX 77091 with Dr. Laurence L. White officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be made to the school where Jason's nephews and niece attended at Our Savior Lutheran School, 5000 W. Tidwell, Houston, TX 77091.
