Joseph Ray Le Blanc, Jr. passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the age of 74 years. He was born on February 16, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Joseph Ray Le Blanc and Pauline Melito Le Blanc. Ray graduated from Cor Jesu High School in New Orleans, in 1957, and later graduated from Tulane University, receiving his Degree in Chemical Engineering, in 1961. He was commissioned into the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant in 1961, and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant in 1963. He was discharged as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve, 1969. On September 18, 1965, he married Charlotte Elizabeth Durand. Ray worked for Dow Chemical from 1963-1970, M.W. Kellogg, KBR from 1970-1999. During his tenure with Kellogg, KBR, Ray achieved several patents, spanning 15 years that focused on ammonia and methane processes. After retiring from Kellogg he started his own company, JRL Consulting, and retired again in 2013. He was a Professional Engineer for the state of Texas. He enjoyed serving his community, serving as a Board Member of the Weston Lakes MUD 81 District for 8 years.

While Ray was very successful in his career, he was first devoted to his faith, his family, his country, and his love of baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Charles Roy Le Blanc and George Ronald Le Blanc.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Charlotte; children, Stephen Paul Le Blanc, Mary Le Blanc Parker, and Michael David Le Blanc; grandchildren, Grace McKenna Le Blanc, Daniel Thomas Le Blanc, Joseph Andrew Le Blanc, and Nicholas Scott Parker; sisters-in-law, Theresa Le Blanc and Suzanne Le Blanc; brother-in-law, Ory A. Durand, Jr. and his wife Marguerite; and numerous other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 5610 Demel Street, Wallis, Texas 77485, where mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Thuy Nguyen, Celebrant. Interment will be private.
