Keith Cravens Obituary
Keith "Coondog" Cravens 55, lost his courageous battle with cancer on April 8, 2013 surrounded in love by family in Houston, Texas. Keith was born December 20, 1957 in Corsicana, Texas. He is survived by his son and best friend Ben Cravens, his loving partner Megan Stephens and her daughters Lauren and Abby Stephens, his mother JoAnne Cravens and father James Franklin Cravens, three brothers, James, Kenneth, and Brian Cravens, and sister Carol Childre Cravens, Jennifer and Glenn Schwartz, nephews: David Cravens, Michael Cravens, Ryan Robbins, and Carter Cravens, nieces: Rachel Robbins Martin, Leigh Cravens, Devon Cravens, Sarah Childre, and Natalie Cravens, and many loving cousins and friends that were like family. Keith graduated from Spring High School in 1976. He graduated from The University of Texas in May of 1991 with a BBA in Finance, and had a successful career in commercial real estate. Keith loved watching UT and Texans football, fishing, being with friends, and enjoying the outdoors. Most of all, Keith loved spending time with his son, Ben. He was caring, honest, and generous to all who were lucky enough to cross his path. Coondog was one of a kind and will be missed dearly, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him. A special thank you to all the family and friends who have loved and supported Keith over the past 2 ½ years.
Visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday. Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Northside Christian Church 18606 Kuykendahl Spring,TX. Interment will follow at Klein Memorial Park FM 2920. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to
