KENNETH R. EVANS, 77, passed away June 14th, 2013 in Houston, Texas after a courageous eight year battle with cancer. He was born in Butte, Montana to Raymond John Evans and Claudia Haling.|
He was a graduate of Montana School of Mines and received his masters degree and Phd from the University of Washington. He worked for Boeing and Shell Oil prior to opening his own company, MEI Engineering. He had many, many employees he truly cared for and had a special place for Chuck and JoAnna.
Dad was an avid reader of history and of late most any novel he could find. Unfortunately, he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan but was an excellent little league coach and even better youth basketball coach, his two favorite sports.
He is survived by his son Danny, his daughter Janelle, Carrie, his daughter in law he loved, his three grandsons Michael, Connor and Dayton, and his little angel Grace, his granddaughter. Other survivors include his brother Gordie and sister Sandy, his loving ex wife Muriel Bowen as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Sammy Williamson Evans.
The family will have a memorial service in August for friends and family to be announced later. Ken's final resting place will be at the family home in Lake Tahoe, California.
A special thanks to Dr. Robert Amoto for keeping him with us a few extra years.
"Watch over us from Heaven Dad, you were a good man."
