Mary Etta Jaco, born in Chelsea Massachusetts on December 28, 1949 and raised in Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 26th, 2013. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Mary Lilia Puente, who meant the world to her and was the center of her life. She also leaves behind her father, William Jaco, Sr. of Oregon, Ohio; her sister, Connie Shinaver (Joe) of Houston, and her brother, William Jaco, Jr. (Joan) also of Houston. She is also survived by her niece, Alyse Shinaver; nephews, Joshua (Kelsey) and Matthew Jaco and Stripey Jaco (cat). She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary M. Jaco. Mary was raised in Ohio, but moved and lived in New York for many years and her heart was always there. She has many wonderful family and friends there that will always be close to her heart. She was very passionate about politics and research and will always be remembered with a smile for her animated views. She was a very caring person and one of her final gestures was to donate her organs to Life Gift to save many lives for others. Mary Etta attended school at New York University, and was employed at Texas Department of Banking. She has been in banking since she started in the industry in New York City. Friends and family are cordially invited to join the family for a memorial service to celebrate her life at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North (1960 at 290) Houston, TX 77095 on Saturday, May 4th.
