Michael Mustachia Obituary
Michael Bernard Mustachia,64, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on December 2, 2013. Michael was the eldest son of Charles and Frances (Matranga) Mustachia, both deceased. Born and raised in Houston, Michael spent the past 15 years living in Montgomery, TX. A graduate of Strake Jesuit and the University of Texas, Michael was the owner of Pools by Michael Inc. A true artisan, Michael took great pride in his masterful swimming pool design and high quality, custom craftsmanship. Michael was an erudite philosopher, a seeker of truths, a motorcycle enthusiast, a man with a high sense of style. He will be greatly missed by his five siblings, Rosanne Berry, Deborah Festner, Hedy Schneider(Greg), Charlie Mustachia (Dave Courier), and Joseph Mustachia (Mai). Michael is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews, as well as his step daughter, Angel Hill, his grandson, Jordan Hill, his godchildren, John Berry II, Cole Blaze Ethridge, and Kelly Nettles, and scores of extended family members and friends. Pall Bearers are Thomas Koby, Gene Nettles, Michael Walsh, Paul Licata, Sam Polichino and Pete Madden. Family will greet friends 6-7 PM Fri., Dec. 6, 2013 at Klein Funeral Home 16131 Champion Forest Dr. with a vigil to begin at 7 PM. The funeral mass is Sat. Dec. 7, at 1 PM at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, 77379. Graveside service immediately following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, TX 77030, Attn. Memorials or to Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, 8900 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, TX 77036.
