Mildred "Millie"
Paige, 82, died on Sunday, April 20, 2014. Born November 9, 1931 in Gleason Tennessee, to Elvin and Katie Montgomery, she spent most of her childhood in Lansing, Michigan. While attending Michigan State University, she met and married her husband of over 62 years, David Paige. She lived in many different places - including Caracas, Venezuela, Oklahoma and Louisiana- before settling in Houston, Texas where she called home for over 40 years.
Millie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a great cook and hostess who enjoyed entertaining, gardening, reading, playing cards with friends and most of all, family time. She loved animals and her pets were always an important part of her life. She will be especially remembered for her quick wit, sharp intelligence, and her compassionate ways.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David, in addition to her loving daughter, Kathleen Holifield, son- in-law, Michael Holifield and her grandchildren, Brandon and Juliana, all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is forever imprinted in the hearts of her sister and brothers, Maxine Bosley, Richard and Roger Montgomery, all of Michigan, her caring niece, Tara Bosley of Houston, Texas, along with many other nieces, nephews and dear friends. She will be forever loved and missed by all those who knew her.
