She was the faithful wife of Don De la Chapelle, her beloved husband of 61 years, whom she met in New York City at the age of 12. They were best friends and loved each other unconditionally their entire lives. Don preceded Peggy in death by just over 3 months, going on to his eternal home with Jesus on June 21, 2013.
Peggy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spent her youth on the east coast. At age 10, she began her modeling career with John Robert Powers Agency of New York.
