Raymond Killingsworth Obituary
Raymond Killingsworth, 89, passed away on August 22, 2013, in Houston Texas.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 69 years, Patsy Killingsworth; son Wayne Killingsworth and wife Jacque; daughter Pam Mayes and husband Gary; three grandchildren whom he adored: Shelly Grimm, Jonathan Mayes and wife Andrea, and Dena Norton and husband Rick; four great-grandchildren: Kaylie Grimm, Ellie Norton, Ricky Norton and soon to be born, Josiah Mayes. In addition, he is survived by two brothers Maurice Killingsworth and wife Brenda and Glenn Killingsworth, sister Imogene Johnson and husband Foy and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his family dearly.
Raymond was a faithful member of Heights First Baptist Church serving on the Deacon Board as well as Chairman of the Deacons. Since that time, he was an active member at Houston's First Baptist Church. He retired from Modern Welding Company as Vice President, with 23 years of committed service there.
Pallbearers are: Melvin Davis, Vernon Rinewalt, Lee Archer, Danny Winget, Kirk Killingsworth, and Herman Francis. Honorary Pallbearers are all employees and retirees of Modern Welding Company.
Visitation and service will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas. Visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2013. Service at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013, immediately followed by a graveside service. If desired, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Houston's First Baptist Church Mission 1:8 Fund.
