passed away at 7:05 AM on August 4, 2014, at Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land, TX.
Bob was born October 5, 1931 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Warner and Ruth Lee. Bob graduated from Ponca City High School in 1949. He attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College in Tonkawa, OK where he met Darleen June Reese. They were married June 1, 1952 at the Nardin Methodist Church in Nardin, OK.
Bob and Darleen started their married journey in Ponca City where their 2 sons (Mark Robert and Kirk Reese) were born. In 1954 he graduated from Oklahoma A & M (now Oklahoma State University) with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He began working at Continental Oil Company in the Pipeline Division. In 1966, he graduated from Harvard University's Management Development School of Business Administration. Bob was a dedicated CONOCO employee for 30 years living and working in locations from Ponca City, OK; Wichita Falls, TX; Casper, WY; and Houston, TX.
Upon his retirement in 1983, Bob and Darleen retired to Boerne, TX. He was a life long member of the Methodist church including churches in Ponca City, Houston and Boerne. He served on numerous committees in each church and especially enjoyed the friendship and love from the Genesis Sunday School Class at the Boerne United Methodist Church. In 2012 Bob and Darleen moved to Sugar Land, TX to be near their sons and their families.
His enjoyments were his two sons, Mark and Kirk, and their families. His hobby was tinkering on old pickup trucks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warner and Ruth and his parents-in-law Herbert Carl and Opal Robertson Reese. Also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Surviving is his wife, Darleen of 62 years. Sons Mark and Jenny Lee, Katy, TX, and Dr. Kirk and Anjanette Lee, Sugarland, TX. Grandchildren Matthew and Heather Lee, Christine and John Michael Lidiak, Katie and Will Colburn, Brandon Lee, Bryce Lee and Caroline Lee. Great-grandchildren John Gareth Lidiak and Emma Grace Lidiak.
