Ronald Stuart Gray of Franklin, Texas passed away on October 10, 2013 at the age of 60. He was a true character, a great friend, a devoted husband, and a loving father.
The Guest Book is expired.
Ron was born to Dorothy and Marshall Gray and spent most of his childhood in and around Houston, Texas. After graduating from Conroe High School, Ron attended Texas A&M University. He embodied the noble spirit of honor and loyalty to which all Aggies aspire.
Ron met the love of his life, Marie Penick while enrolled at Texas A&M. They were married 40 years as lifelong best friends who loved each other and cherished their time together. On their first date Ron brought flowers; a tradition he continued until his acute illness. Marie often told Ron, "I couldn't be me without you."
Ron and Marie have three children: Andrew, Elizabeth, and Elliott, all of whom knew how much their daddy loved them and strive daily to be the people who he believed that they could be.
Ron spent his career in commercial finance and was known for his integrity and professionalism. After retiring, Ron moved to Franklin, Texas where he pursued his hobby of cooking and entertaining for friends and family.
Ronald Gray passed away this week after a brief but heroic fight with lymphoma. Throughout, his unfailingly kind spirit shone through to all who met him.
Ronald Gray is survived by his wife, his children with their spouses, Kyle and Jacey, as well as three grandchildren, Aiden, Oliver, and Adelaide. He also leaves behind a wide group of friends and family including his siblings, John, Leah, and Rodney Gray. Ron's mother and father, Dorothy and Marshall Gray, predeceased him.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Franklin United Methodist Church, 100 W Decherd St., Franklin, TX 77856 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in his name to the Franklin United Methodist Church.
With Ron goes his smile, stories, and generous spirit, all of which will be terribly missed by us all. Condolences may be offered at www.millerfuneral.com
