Rusty Brett Obituary
Rutherford Rutland Brett Rutherford Rutland Brett (Rusty) died unexpectedly Saturday as a result of complications of a heart condition. Rusty was a devoted husband, father & grandfather and all around great guy who lit up a room when he entered. He was born April 7th, 1932 in Ardmore, OK, attended Norman High with his loving wife of 59 years Eva May, served his country in the US Army then graduated from Oklahoma University. Rusty went to work for Texaco where he spent most of his professional career before retiring and settling in the North Houston area. Rusty and Eva May were very active members of Northgate Country Club where almost on a daily basis one or both of them could be seen driving their golf cart to and from. His friends at "the club" meant a lot to him. Rusty is survived by his wife Eva May Brett, sister Todis McDonald, daughters Laurie Jackson and Kelly Roberts and son Samuel Brett. He had six grandchildren Sunny, Carlie, Casey, Cass, Samantha and Nicholas all of whom he referred to as "the sweetest one". Many more nieces and nephews were proud to call him Uncle Rusty. A memorial service will be held Wednesday July 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring, TX 77379. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation in Rusty's name be made to the www.Heart.org
