Shirley Dillon Obituary
Shirley Faun Dillon went home to be with the Lord at 3:40 AM November 24, 2013 at her home in Clear Lake City. Shirley was born January 14, 1926 in Wenatchee, WA. She was the only child of Bob and Faun Crial of Orondo, WA Where she grew up on the family fruit ranch. She attended schools in Orondo, Wenatchee and the University of Washington where she became a Delta Zeta Sorority and met her future husband Dennis. They were married June 19, 1948 in Seattle, WA. Following their career aspirations, Shirley and Dennis lived throughout the Pacific Northwest and Plains States before Settling in Clear Lake City in 1987. They traveled extensively before and after retirement.
Shirley was a member of Second Baptist Church in Houston for 20 Years, Nassau Bay Baptist Church for the past 5 years, P.E.O. and was very active in all. Shirley was committed to volunteerism, lending her many talents to the Second Baptist Church Bookstore and Bay Area SPCA.
Survivors include husband Dennis of 65 years and son Robert of Scottsdale, AZ.
Ashes will be memorialized at the Veterans Cemetery in Houston. Donations in her memory may be given to the Nassau Bay Baptist Church Sanctuary Building Fund, 18131 Nassau Bay Dr., Nassau Bay, TX 77058 or Bay Area SPCA, 3000 Avenue R, San Leon, TX 77539.
