Copeland, age 79, was granted his wish to go to his "real" home, Heaven, on July 27, 2014.
Terry was born in Houston, Texas on September 5, 1934. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Sylvia Palermo Copeland., and daughters Tamara Wray (Jim), and Caren McCombs (David); grandchildren Amanda and Lex Wray, Brittany and Anthony (Sara) McCombs. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Copeland and numerous family members.Tami and Caren will always cherish fond memories of camping, enduro bike riding and water skiing with Mom and Dad and friends.
Terry is predeceased by his parents, Eva and Leo Copeland.
Terry proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. He graduated from John H. Reagan High in 1954 and South Texas Junior College in 1959. He was proud of his German heritage and active in reunions of the Engelking and Sack families.
A celebration of Terry's life will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 10135 West Rd. 77064, Monday, August 11, with visitation at 10:00 am and memorial service at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran's Memorial Drive at 2:30 pm.
