He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse J. Lee and Mary Waller Lee; brothers, Jesse J. Lee,Jr. and James Waller Lee, and nephew Timothy Lee. He is survived by his wife, Carla Stone Lee; daughters Janet Lee Hudgens and husband Clark and Carla Elizabeth Charlton and husband Thilo Weissflog; sons Thomas Henry Lee, Jr., John Kelly Charlton and wife Gretchen Rice, Wesley Wade Charlton, Thomas Stephen Charlton, and Jesse Moursund Lee; grandchildren Amy Louise Lee, James Henry Lee, Thomas Garrett Lee, Olivia Grace Weissflog, Max Thilo Weissflog, Anders Collin Charlton and Lena Elizabeth Charlton.
Tom graduated from Lamar High School in 1944; attended The University of Texas as an undergraduate, and graduated from The University of Texas School of Law. He practiced law with his father and his brother Jim and then with several other law firms in Houston.
Tom's great loves in life were his family, the practice of law, and The University of Texas football, hopefully in that order. When Texas had a football game he might have been hard put to choose between the three.
Tom had many good friends and colleagues and was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for forty-nine years. He greatly enjoyed and valued his time with all of them.
The memorial service will be held at four o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Bradshaw-Carter Home, 1734 West Alabama Street. All are invited to a reception immediately following.
