W. Dale Boyd was called to his eternal home on December 25, 2013. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Mary Boyd; sister, Mildred Florian; brother, Trenton Boyd; brother, Vernon Boyd; and daughter, Ann Cook.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Boyd; daughter, Cassie Ainley; daughter, Renee Baker and husband, Bruce Baker; stepson, Dr. Richard H. Fosberg, and wife, Fei Fosberg; grandchildren, Adam Cook, Sara Beth Teel, Stephanie Jenkins, and Karen Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dale was born on November 10, 1927, in Pike City, Oklahoma. His family later moved to Gladewater, Texas, then to Kilgore, Texas, and then to Houston in 1942. Dale and Elizabeth made Madisonville, Texas, their permanent home in 1992. Dale graduated from the University of Texas in 1948 and was a member of the U.S. Army. Dale had a career as a CPA since 1950, where he had wonderful clients and made lifelong friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville, Texas, and will be officiated by The Rev. Debbie Daigle and The Rev. George Wilson. Interment was officiated by The Rev. Debbie Daigle in a private family service on December 31, 2013, at South Park Cemetery, in Pearland, Texas. Arrangements are being handled by Madisonville Funeral Home, 1511 East Main St., Madisonville, Texas 77864, 936-348-2131.
