Chelsea Jean Larsen, 20, of Katy, TX died Dec. 26 from injuries suffered in a traffic accident. She was born Dec. 15, 1993 in Winfield, KS to Edward Larsen and Marcia (Hinegardner) Larsen. Chelsea was a 2012 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School and attended McLennan Community College and Baylor University. She held part-time jobs at Kumon Learning Center, and Chick-Fil-A. As a college student in Waco, Chelsea majored in Social Work, worked at Educators Credit Union and was active with college ministries at Antioch Community Church. Chelsea was a strong advocate and participate for Avon Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and Relay for Life. She is preceded in death by her mother Marcia, grandparents Nuel and Jean Hinegardner, grandmother Carol Larsen, grandfather James Wingfield, and uncle Joe Walz.

She is survived by her parents Ed and Colleen Larsen of Katy, TX, siblings, Matt and Abbey Larsen, Miranda Calhoun, Austin Calhoun of Katy, TX; Mark and Stacey Larsen of Roseville, CA, Jacob and Cristin Tiernan-Larsen of Nevada, IA; Daniel Larsen and Tabatha Bruce of Villisca, IA; grandparents, MaryAnn Wingfield of Katy, TX, Del and Francie Larsen of Albuquerque, NM, John Calhoun and Nancy Calhoun of Houston, TX, 16 aunts/uncles, nine nieces/nephews, and 17 cousins.
A memorial celebration will take place Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. at Grace Fellowship UMC 2655 S. Mason Road Katy, TX. Memorials are established with Susan G. Koman Foundation and Grace Fellowship UMC Missions.
