Dr. Emery Zimmermann
Emery passed away peacefully Nov 5, 2013 in Chino, CA. He was 74.
Born in Los Angeles, he grew up in Chino. Emery graduated from Chino High in 1957 and Pomona College in 1961. He earned his MD and PHd from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He taught and did research at
School of Medicine for 20 years. After retiring he opened his private practice in Psychiatry. He worked with the County of Riverside Mental Health Units and many group homes.
Emery is survived by his wife Tommie Jo and four children; Max Zimmermann, Tanya LaBar (Jim), Ben Zimmermann (Amy), and Courtney Zimmermann. Along with grand- children; Emily, Greta & Stella Zimmermann and Matthew LaBar.
Funeral services include a Rosary on Sunday Nov 10 at 6pm at Todd's Mortuary 570 N. Garey Ave., Pomona. Funeral Mass is Monday Nov 11 at 10am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 12686 Central Ave, Chino. Burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetary 433 E. Lexington Ave, Pomona. Reception to follow at Damien High School Activity Center 2280 Damien Ave, LaVerne CA.
