Hector Guerrero, 60, of Holtville passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 with his family by his side. Hector was born on September 29, 1953 in Calexico, CA. Hector graduated from Holtville High School and served honorably in the United States Army. He was a California Highway Patrol in El Centro, El Centro Police Officer, Holtville Police Officer, Reserved Deputy Sheriff, part time ICE Inspector, Investigator for the District Attorney's Office and worked grounds at the VA hospital. Hector Guerrero loved to surround himself with his children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. He was a man of incredible strength, loving father and grandfather. He spent his retired years cooking and gardening with the presence of his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded by his mother's path to heaven and is reunited with his parents; Francisco and Lucy Guerrero.
He is survived by his daughters, Christina, Erika, Monika and Veronika Guerrero; four grandchildren, Mihkel, Elijah, Ian, and Emma; Companion, Claire Nunez; sister, Ernestine Reavis; brothers, Frank Guerrero, Robert Guerrero, Jesse Guerrero and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass will commence on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in El Centro.
The family will host a reception following the mass at the Eagles Lodge in El Centro.
