Jackie L. Ivey of Nampa, Idaho, passed away peacefully at an Assisted Living facility in Nampa, ID on May 5, 2013.
Jackie was born Feb. 12, 1930 to Elmer C and Eunice K Ballard in Nampa, ID. She was raised in Melmont and Nampa, ID., where she graduated from Nampa High School in 1947. She attended Boise Junior College, NNC in Nampa and later Boise State University.
Jackie married Lee B Walworth in 1948 and together they had 6 children: Daniel L. Walworth (Melissa), David (deceased), Kathleen Ann Masi (Al), Donald F. Walworth (Tamie), Douglas J. Ivey and Kristine M Ivey.
Lee Walworth passed away in 1966 and in June 1970, Jackie married the love of her life, Clarence C. Ivey. They were happily married for almost 43 years.
Jackie was employed by Shields Seed Co. and then Webster Caldwell Agency in Nampa as bookkeeper and tax accountant and later retired from The State of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Together Jackie and Clarence operated Ivey's Action Realty in Nampa. She later became self-employed at J.L. & Associates accounting and tax preparation.
Jackie was Past Worthy Matron Rainbow 80, Eastern Star several times. Jackie was a charter member of Soroptomist, Nampa and Credit Women International in Idaho.
Mom loved to travel in the NW. She enjoyed square dance, loved to go dancing at the Elk's Lodge in Nampa and was an avid reader. Jackie never met a stranger, had a wonderful sense of humor with a special spark, and was a beautiful person inside and out.
Jackie was a lifelong member of Nampa First Christian Church.
Jackie is survived by her husband Clarence C Ivey, her five children, and several Grand and Great Grandchildren.
Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Streamside Assisted Living Center for loving care and also Align Hospice.
As Jackie often said, "Bye for now". Mom will be deeply missed.
Memorial service will be held Saturday May 25, 2013 at 11am at Alsip Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. S, Nampa, ID.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nampa Public Library or Nampa First Christian Church.
