Jerry W. Loftis
Jerry W. Loftis, 76 of Caldwell, passed away September 4, 2012 after a long illness. He was born in Woodruff, South Carolina to J. Dennis and Aline H. Loftis.
After serving as an Air Force Flightline Firefighter in Guam during the Korean War he worked many years in the Sacramento, California area in the postal service, insurance and RV business, then later at Gentry Ford in Ontario, OR and Payette, ID.
Jerry married Barbara Chilcott in 1988 then moved to the Little Salmon River at Pinehurst where they welcomed their two families and friend to enjoy their park-like "Little Slice of Heaven". Jerry loved fishing, gardening and their beloved pets.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons Jerry and Larry Loftis; daughters Deborah (Gil) Moreno, Kimberly (Matt) Valentine and Barbara's sons Les Smith and Randall (Cindy) Bowden; daughter Cindy Bowden (Kelley) Hayes; grandchildren: Jerry, Kayle, Samantha, Victoria and Ashliegh Loftis, Bryan Moreno and Lyndsay Barge, Michael Catanese, Taylor Hayes, Nikki (Bowden) Lafoya and Sarah (Bowden) Nestler; and eight great-grandchildren.
Come celebrate his life at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Road, Boise, Monday, September 10, 2012 at 1:45 p.m. at which time the motorcade begins. Remembrances donations may be made to the Boise VA Medical Center, 500 W. Fort St. Boise, ID 83702. Arrangements are being provided by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300
