Keith Morris Kendall
Keith Morris Kendall, 86, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 13, 2013 of natural causes.
He was born October 4, 1927 in Dunlap, Kansas to Marion & Iva Kendall. He was educated in Kansas, Oregon, Idaho and California. He served in the US Army from 1946 to 1949.
He married Iris Sherman on September 3, 1950 and raised 4 children in Boise, Idaho.
Keith was a successful businessman in Boise where he owned Dunhill Personnel, later named Kendall Employment Plus. He served on many boards including the YMCA, Better Business Bureau, Idaho Family Forum, and the Idaho Governor's Prayer Breakfast. He was also a charter member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Boise and a Paul Harris Fellow.
Keith and Iris enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. Together they visited 22 countries and made many friends along the way.
As Keith approached retirement, he and Iris moved to a quiet country home in Melba, Idaho where he was instrumental in bringing the Terry Riley Health Clinic to the Melba Community. He was active in the Melba Community Baptist Church and enjoyed the small town activities.
Keith was a very faithful and devoted brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He was always willing to visit, listen and help with a generous spirit.
Keith is survived by his wife Iris of 63 years; brother Roy of Ontario, OR; sons Ted (Mary) of Denver and Dennis (Amy) of Nampa; daughters Nancy (Ron) Porter of Parma, and Beve (Al) Bryant of Boise; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Earl, and granddaughters Tara Granden and Rachel Porter.
In Lieu of flowers, Keith has requested memorial funds be made to the Hope House, 7696 S. Bruneau Hwy., P.O. Box 550 Marsing, ID 83639.
Memorial Services will be held in honor of Keith's life at the Melba Community Baptist Church, 319 Randolph, Melba on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 2 PM. Burial is under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300
