January 7, 1928 - February 25, 2013
Peter Jacob Ringleman passed peacefully in his home Monday Febuary 25th, 2013 with his loving wife of 35 years, Judith Ann Ringleman, at his side. He was further survived by his children Charmane Little, Acelia (Andrew) Roberts, Mark (Theresa) Jones, Mynde (Paul) Sousa, and Patricia (Robert) Schaffer. Loving grandfather to Rachel Roberts Bailey, John Roberts, Chelsea (Derek) Inman, Steven and Ashley Sousa, Matt and Andy Davis, and Paige & Kayla Schaffer. Devoted Great-grandfather to Carter, Kambelle and Jones Inman. Extended family includes Richard and Cindy Potenski and others.
Born to an immigrant farmer and his wife, Pete's humble beginnings shaped his sense of humor and mantra of living life to its fullest. Professionally he was a United States Marine and went on to become a well-respected and beloved Fire Chief in Boulder, Colorado.
Family was his passion. He was a leader by nature, and his ability to "father" stretched to all who needed him. Always knowing what each moment needed, be it a hug, a joke or a boot. With his community as his audience, no gathering went without a story told or a joke perfectly executed. He taught us to love passionately, give unendingly and laugh first, and loudest, at ourselves.
As a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and solid Christian man, Pete was a long-time attendee of Eureka First Church of the Nazarene and College Church of the Nazarene. He reminisced often about his years as a Sunday School Teacher and teased that the Choir Director paid him to not sing in the Choir.
The family has placed their trust in Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel for care of Pete and his final arrangements. A viewing will be held at College Church of the Nazarene on Friday, March 1st at 3:00 PM to 4:50 PM and his celebration of life will follow at 5:00 PM. Inurnment will be Monday, March 4th at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 PM. In respect of Pete's wishes, in lieu of cut flowers please send donations to
