Bob's grandson Dave did a great job in summing up his grandpa in this post that appeared on Facebook:
"Saying a prayer for my Grandpa Bob, who passed away this morning. He was a self-made man. A WWII veteran, an accomplished baker, a fantastic builder, a loving husband, a great father and the best grandpa anywhere. He could accomplish anything with sheer will. No was not in his vocabulary. I've looked up to him my entire life. He was simply a great, great man. Love you Grandpa."
