Charles E. Stroud

Charles E. Stroud, age 80, died at his daughter's home on Monday, July 21, 2014 from complications of Parkinson's disease in El Cajon, CA where he had lived for the last two years.
Born May 6, 1934, in Twin Falls, ID, he was the only child of Herbert and Margaret Stroud. Charles grew up in Filer, ID and joined the Army after high school where he served for 2 years. He was honorably discharged and shortly thereafter married Nadine Ankeny in 1956. They lived in Coeur d' Alene , ID while Charles attended North Idaho Jr. College for two years and worked at Potlatch Lumber Mill. They then moved to Pocatello with their two children, so that Charles could attend Idaho State University where he graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor Degree in Business. Charles worked for JR. Simplot Co. while he was attending college and stayed with them for the next 33 years working as an Accountant.

Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, finishing gun stocks, traveling and reading. He was a longtime member of the NRA and the Masons.
Survivors include his wife of almost 58 years, Nadine (Ankeny) Stroud, CA, two children, daughter Vicki (Stroud) Ganeff, CA, and son Mark Stroud, WA; three grandchildren, Shannon (Ganeff) Northup and Jordan Charles Ganeff, CA and MacKenzie Stroud, WA and four cousins. Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
