Aaron Thomas Sharp
1962 - 2014
Sgt. First Class Aaron Thomas Sharp, born March 12, 1962 to Dale and Helen Sharp in Spokane, Washington, was called home to the Lord July 19, 2014 doing what he loved. Aaron was raised in Meridian, Idaho with his two sisters, Alison and Audrea Sharp. On August 17, 1985 he married Jacquelle Hagen and was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Meagan and Calley Sharp.
Aaron joined the Air Force June 29, 1984 and served until September 16, 1993. He transferred to the Army National Guard on September 17, 1993 where he currently continued to serve. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2005 for a year long tour. On June 28, 2014 he celebrated 30 years of military service.
Aaron was a man of God and demonstrated it through philanthropic contributions. He was a member of Calvary Chapel, where he volunteered in the nursery every Sunday. Due to his devout faith, Aaron was not afraid of death, as he knew this life on Earth is but fleeting and his permanent home awaited him. He was a man of few words, but his actions illustrated his integrity. His unwavering commitment to honor artistic, ethical, moral and spiritual values and principles inspired all.
He is survived by his parents, Dale and Helen Sharp. His daughters, Meagan and Calley Sharp. Sisters and brothers in law, Alison and Randy Erickson. Audrea and Todd Archer. Numerous nieces, nephews, and countless extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Aaron's favorite cause, Operation Smile at operationsmile.org or one of your own choosing. Funeral Services to be held Monday, July 28, 2014, 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel located at 123 Auto Drive Boise, ID 83709 followed by interment at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow and all are welcome to share in the celebration of Aaron's life.
