Dale Edward Slagel
1932 - 2013
Dale Edward Slagel, 81, of Boise, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Idaho State Veteran's Home.
Dale was born on January 26, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska a son of George and Margaret Slagel of Jerome, Idaho.
Dale served in the US Army during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged January 16, 1954.
He married Cynthia Ann Payton on December 11, 1954, and together they had 5 sons, Steven, David, Edward, Brian Scott "Scotty", and Michael. Dale was a brick mason his entire working career.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cynthia, infant son, "Scotty", two sisters, Faye and Irene, and three brothers, Raymond, Dean, and Merl.
Dale is survived by his four sons, Steve and Brenda Slagel, David and Verna Slagel, Edward Slagel, and Michael Slagel; two brothers, Franklin and Larry; three sisters, Betty, Shirley, and Beverly; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Kuna Cemetery, 1321 Boise St. in Kuna.
